Our Story
Dream Creeks is a husband-and-wife leather studio founded in 2019 by Jordan and Layla Reznicek, right here in Chicago. What started as an experimentation with leather from a textile outlet turned into crafting everyday carry pieces for ourselves. Then quietly grew into something bigger, a studio dedicated to creating heirloom-quality leather goods for men and women who appreciate the craft behind what they carry.
We handcraft every piece in our home studio or at 2936 N Clark Street in Chicago's Lakeview East neighborhood. When you hold a Dream Creeks piece, you're holding something made by our hands; cut, stitched, and finished with intention.
We believe the materials make the piece. That's why we source only the finest leathers in the world:
- Horween Leather — sourced right here in Chicago from one of America's oldest and most respected tanneries, known for its rich character and legendary durability.
- Italian Leathers — vegetable-tanned leathers from Italy, prized for their firm hand, beautiful patina development, and centuries-old tanning traditions. Chosen tanneries all are members of The Pelle Vegetale Consortium.
- Shell Cordovan — the pinnacle of leather, a rare and dense material known for its mirror-like finish and extraordinary longevity.
Every hide is selected by hand. Every stitch is placed with purpose. We don't cut corners because the people who carry our work deserve better than that.
Leather crafting is a skill worth sharing. We offer hands-on workshops at our Chicago studio where you can learn the craft yourself. From belt making and wallet construction to broader leather crafting techniques. Whether you're a complete beginner or a curious maker, our workshops are designed to be approachable, fun, and genuinely educational.
We also offer custom orders and private event experiences through our Services Plus+. Perfect for corporate events, date nights, or anyone who wants a truly one-of-a-kind piece made to their specifications.
We started Dream Creeks because we wanted to carry things we were proud of; goods that would age beautifully, tell a story, and last a lifetime. That's still what drives us every day in the studio.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.
